About Us

Lakes Region Recovery Center

At LRRC our focus is on peer to peer recovery support that recognizes that there are many pathways to healing for people with substance use disorder and mental health disorder. We have Recovery Coaches, Peer Support, Telephone Recovery Support, and a variety of groups and meetings. Our services are free of charge, and membership is free. With the rise in mental health needs we have added programs to support challenges such as PTSD, Grief Support, and other similar issues.  We are here to help with Recovery in any form: Mental Health, Substance Use Disorder, Food Addiction, Co-Dependency, and more. Everyone's journey to recovery is unique. Our certified recovery coaches are here to help you set and achieve your goals as you take your steps toward recovery. To schedule a meeting email us here.

Peer to Peer Support

Join our many groups and meetings, or just drop in for an informal chat anytime. We and others are here to support and encourage you on your journey.

Other LRRC Offerings

In addtion to our revovery coaching and peer to peer support, we work with other organizations to offer a variety of group meetings and other services for the benefit of the community.  For details please see our events calendar.

There are various groups that meet at LRRC. All groups are open to anyone in the public and are always free. They include the following and more:

In-person

We host various meetings at our location at 2 Elm Street in Bridgton. Everyone is welcome to drop in anytime or to schedule an appointment. We welcome everyone to make use of our facilities.

Call our access recovery hotline at (207) 803-8709 to speak to a Peer Support Specialist or Recovery coach.

Teenagers in need of support can call or text (207) 291-0086.

LRRC Team Members

Executive Director, Lakes Region Recovery Center serving the Lakes Region area of Maine and Recovery Coach for CRC's Opioid Health Home Program since 2018.

Tracey studied at Andover College, University of Maine system, obtained a degree in Criminal Justice and attended the Maine State Criminal Justice Academy in Vassalboro, Maine.

 

Tracey has attended many trainings such as the Recovery Coach Academy, CCAR Ethics, CCAR Coacher Vision through Healthy Acadia/Maine Alliance for Recovery, and Recovery Coaching in the Emergency Department. She is also a trainer for the CCAR Recovery Coach Academy and CCAR Recovery Coaching in the Emergency Department.
 

Maine Can Work Facilitator for the Workforce Development System in the State of Maine. Tracey serves as a Recovery Ambassador for Faces and Voices of Recovery with the National Recovery Institute. Serves as a board member for SAPARS- Sexual Assault Prevention and Response Services, is a Board Member for Tucker's House, and holds a seat as a Recovery Practitioner for the Substance Use Disorders Services Commission for the State of Maine.


Tracey has been married for over 25 years, is a proud mother of two, stepmother of four, and “Gigi” to her 9 beautiful grandchildren.

Christine Wight
Recovery Coach Coordinator

Christine is originally from Massachusetts but has lived in Maine for several years. She has various qualifications and trainings such as Recovery Coach Academy, CCAR Ethics, CCAR Coacher Vision through Healthy Acadia/Maine Alliance for Recovery, and Recovery Coaching in the Emergency Department. She is also a trainer for the CCAR Recovery Coach Academy.

Candy Greenberg

Candy has been with LRRC since January of 2019. She is currently on staff as a Peer Support Specialist and Recovery Coach. Her journey to long term Recovery has provided her with empathy and understanding for those who struggle with Substance Use Disorder, especially women seeking Recovery. Candy facilitates the Women For Sobriety group which meets at LRRC every Thursday at 3pm, and the Crafts Group on Monday mornings at 9am. Boating, fishing, snowmobiling, gardening, crocheting, dogs and family fill her time away from LRRC.

Theresa Dumond

Currently finishing up a degree in Substance Abuse Counseling, Theresa is a certified recovery coach. Originally from Portland, she has taken the long and difficult road to recovery, and now dedicates her time and energy to coaching and supporting others as they seek to better their lives.

A Reiki master, MJ has been with us since the beginning. She leads our music and journal groups.
